Canada played its third game of the Olympic tournament today.

And for the occasion, it faced Alexandre Texier's France.

We expected complete domination from the Maple Leafs… and that's exactly what happened in Milan. What a surprise, you might say!

It didn't take long for Canada to get on the scoreboard. Tom Wilson, the favorite player of hockey fans around the world (or not!), jumped on a rebound to open the scoring:

France responded 13 seconds after Wilson's goal. Floran Douay scored the French team's first goal of the game:

But then… we really felt that Canada kicked it into high gear.

Devon Toews and Mark Stone scored, and the Canadians returned to the locker room with a two-goal lead:

In the second period… Canada was all alone on the ice.

It looked easy: Cale Makar, Macklin Celebrini, and Sidney Crosby found the back of the net to bring the score to 6-1 in Canada's favor.

We expected it.

Oh, and let's note that the Kid got a little lucky on his goal… hehe :

The third period also went Canada's way.

Connor McDavid broke away early in the third and just like that, the game started to look like a real blowout:

Did you think it was over?

After France scored a goal, Canada picked up where it left off. Bo Horvat and Brandon Hagel scored in just over five minutes to give the Canadians their eighth and ninth goals of the game:

Oh, and Celebrini decided to add to the tally… by scoring a second goal in the game.

A 10th goal for Canada:

Final score: 10-2 Canada.

That said, despite Canada scoring 10 goals in the game, Nick Suzuki was shut out of the score sheet.

The Canadiens captain finished the game with 13:50 of ice time.

Overtime

It should be noted that at the end of the game, Tom Wilson got into a fight.

He was automatically ejected from the game and could also possibly be suspended for Canada's next game. To be continued…
