Earlier this week, we all held our breath when Canadian women's hockey team captain Marie-Philip Poulin was injured against the Czech Republic.
She was in obvious pain and subsequently missed two consecutive games, a 5-0 loss to the United States and a 5-0 win over Finland.
Everyone was concerned about her injury, given that her health is closely linked to the Canadiens' success.
Fortunately, we received some very good news this morning when we learned that Poulin would be back in uniform today for Canada's quarterfinal game against Germany.

This is a very important addition to the Canadian team, as it will not necessarily be an easy game for Canada, given that Germany is having a good tournament.
The German team has won three of its four games in the group stage and has the tournament's second-leading scorer, Laura Kluge (seven points in four games), in its ranks.
In short, we're all happy to see MP Poulin back, and we can't wait to see her in action with her teammates starting at 10:40 a.m.
