Canada kicked off its Olympic tournament yesterday against the Czech Republic.
And, unsurprisingly, Jon Cooper's men managed to beat their opponents 5-0. Nick Suzuki scored one goal (assisted by Connor McDavid) in the victory.
We also saw that the Canadiens captain isn't there to play tourist.
He looked like a guy who belonged on the ice and had a good game overall. He played on the wing with Nathan MacKinnon, and Suzuki didn't look too shabby either.
When you can keep up with a guy like MacKinnon… it's because you've got talent.

Suzuki is a guy who can be used in all kinds of situations.
He's good on the powerplay—he's the second-leading scorer in the NHL on the powerplay this season—he's responsible across the entire ice… and that means coaches can also trust him on the penalty kill.
Patrice Bergeron explained it well on 98.5 FM: Suzuki is a bit like Canada's Swiss Army knife.
And the former Bruins captain, who had a successful career in the NHL and on the international stage, was keen to praise him, saying:
He's a leader, he brings many things to a team… No matter the situation, as a coach, you have no stress when he's on the ice. – Patrice Bergeron

For Nick Suzuki, it must be special to receive such a compliment.
We all know Patrice Bergeron, after all. And everyone knows how respected he is for what he has accomplished during his playing career.
Hearing that from a legend… it's really cool. And it just goes to show how well Suzuki is doing things too, because his style of play really doesn't go unnoticed.
It was about time he got the love he deserves, though.
Because Nick Suzuki has long been one of the most underrated players on the planet…
