At yesterday's practice, Nick Suzuki was placed on the wing of Canada's fourth line.

But as we know, in the world of hockey, things can change pretty quickly.

The proof?

Less than an hour before Canada's game against the Czech Republic, we learn that Suzuki will start the game on the wing of the second line. He finds himself on the right side of Brandon Hagel and Nathan MacKinnon, who plays center.

This is a great opportunity for Suzuki. Did the coaches want to put him in a more offensive role, given that he is one of the top scorers in the National Hockey League this season among Canadian players?

Earlier this morning, I suggested that Suzuki might join MacKinnon on one of Canada's lines.

The two guys have been practicing together in recent days, after all. And seeing them reunited for the first game of the tournament is quite interesting.

It's also worth noting that Jordan Binnington will be in goal for Canada in the first game of the competition.

I'm not necessarily surprised because he was the one who led the country to victory at the 4 Nations Challenge. It's a sign of respect for the Blues goalie… but that doesn't mean he'll be in net for the entire tournament.

Jon Cooper has already mentioned that he wants to use two goalies for Canada's first two games at the Olympics.

We can therefore expect Logan Thompson to face Switzerland tomorrow.
