Here we go again. And this time, it's about three dances between the Montreal Canadiens and Jordan Kyrou.

In the February 6 episode ofThe Sheet podcast, insider David Pagnotta reignited speculation surrounding Kyrou and the Habs. According to him, Kent Hughes and his gang aren't ready to give up yet.

Since last summer, the St. Louis Blues forward has been on the list of players coveted by several teams. And Montreal isn't just watching from afar. The habs have reportedly been in frequent contact with St. Louis to explore the possibility of a trade involving Kyrou.

The main obstacle? The asking price and Kyrou's no-trade clause. Despite his offensive potential (70 points last season and currently 32 points), the 27-year-old winger comes with a hefty $8.125 million per year contract that expires in 2031 and a clause that gives the player the final say on where he will go.

Pagnotta didn't mince words when he reignited the rumor mill.

“I wonder if they'll come back again, for a fourth time, to St. Louis for Jordan Kyrou.” – David Pagnotta

A clear reminder that the issue is far from over.

And it's getting a reaction. Some will say that Kent Hughes has it in for the Blues, coming back again and again for the same player. Others see it as proof that Montreal hasn't finished looking for a real offensive weapon to complete its top six and strengthen its offensive flexibility.

Nothing against Kirby Dach, but adding Kyrou to the top six could finally fill a hole that the habs have had since the start of the season.

Habs fans understand that. And so do the other NHL teams. If Kyrou ends up officially available, it won't be settled with a draft pick or a depth player.

Kent Hughes will have to open his wallet, use his brain, and above all, have a clear vision if he wants to put an end to this ongoing discussion. Because coming back for the fourth time… that would be more than just a rumor.
