Canada's women's hockey team was looking for a second win in as many games at the Milan Olympics today.

After defeating Switzerland 4-0 in its first game, the team was able to beat the Czech Republic today.

The game ended 5-1 in Canada's favor, with Laura Stacey standing out with this magnificent goal:

But… not everything is rosy following the Canadian women's victory at the moment.

During the game, Marie-Philip Poulin—who wears the “C” on her jersey—was hit dangerously by a Czech player.

Poulin had to retreat to the locker room before returning to her team's bench… but she was unable to return to the ice afterwards.

And you can see in her face how much it hurt:

During the game, Poulin was seen walking down the arena corridors without the aid of crutches.

Good news, then, but…

However, the club's head coach, Troy Ryan, was unable to provide an update on his captain after the game. Reminder: Tomorrow, Canada will face the powerful United States team in the Olympic tournament.

And without Poulin's help, it could be difficult…

Obviously, Canada will need Marie-Philip Poulin for the rest of the competition.

And we have to hope that she will be able to continue the tournament despite everything. Canada (men's team) has a chance to go home with the gold medal.

The same goes for the women's team, but without Marie-Philip Poulin, it could be difficult.

Overtime

– Yeah…

– Oh.

– It's well deserved.
