Nick Suzuki is adored in Montreal. There's not much to criticize about his overall game.

He's responsible, he's aleader, he doesn't overthink things, and he racks up the points.

Every NHL player dreams of winning the Stanley Cup, but we can also add representing their country on the international stage.

For Nick Suzuki, as revealed on Tout le monde en parle, the Stanley Cup is more important than an Olympic medal.

However, Suzuki was eagerly awaiting the opportunity to represent Canada on the Olympic stage, and that Olympic dream was created thanks to Sidney Crosby's famous “Golden Goal.”

In an interview with Suzuki's father, Rob, we learn that, from the age of 11, Nick has compared his playing style to that of Crosby.

Honestly, there are certainly some big similarities.

Rob Suzuki responded to Nick when he told him that he was comparing his style to Crosby's, saying that it wasn't an absurd comparison.

They play a very good game along the boards, don't make a lot of flashy plays every time they're on the ice, but they rack up points—goals and assists—and are very responsible defensively.

It's pretty hard not to see the similarities between the two players.

Obviously, Crosby plays at a higher level, without taking anything away from Suzuki, but their playing styles are still quite similar.

I can't wait to see what Suzuki will do at the Olympics with his idol on the same team. I'm especially eager to find out on which line and with whom Suzuki will play.

We should know more early this afternoon, as Canada will be holding a practice later today.
