Last night, the Rocket won 5-4 at home against the Cleveland Monsters.
Joshua Roy scored twice. Filip Mesar had two assists. Florian Xhekaj collected three points. Owen Beck had two points, including a goal. Samuel Blais got on the score sheet (one assist on the winning goal) in his return to the bottom. Marc Del Gaizo scored the winning goal.
Jacob Fowler may not have had the night of his life (four goals allowed on 27 shots), but he earned the win in his first game since the Rocket hired a new goaltending coach.
Things are going pretty well for the Rocket this season, in fact. The club is currently in first place in its division with 60 points, six more than the Syracuse Crunch.
And even though Laval has played a few more games than most of its division rivals, it's still impressive to see the farm team so high in the standings.

Let's face it: it must be pretty motivating to play in an environment like Place Bell. The atmosphere is always electric in that arena.
Being part of the Canadiens organization and playing in Laval must be motivating.
Owen Beck and Adam Engstrom have their opinions on the subject. In French, Beck said that the atmosphere in the arena (which welcomed 10,243 fans yesterday) was incredible before adding a heartfelt curse word.
Engstrom responded with another expletive of his own.And even though the Rocket chose to mute the guys' expletives, you don't need a “Quebec 101” course to understand what they were trying to say.

I like that.
Seeing the guys adapt to the culture here, even in small doses, is the kind of thing that makes hockey fans in La Belle Province happy. I have a feeling fans are going to love this video.
Let's just say it will go down better than the time Nick Suzuki couldn't say more than two words in French on the set of Tout le monde en parle… even though the question was coming a mile away.
Obviously, the captain couldn't really swear on Radio-Canada and have the same effect as the Rocket players, but you get my point: it's not that hard to make fans happy by saying a few spontaneous words in French after a game.

“I can't wait to get back in that locker room and speak in my native language. I'll finally be able to tell jokes in Slovak. I'm going to have a blast.”

— Good question.
With@domluszczyszynfor@TheAthletic, what would a Russian men's hockey team look like if they had been in Milan? We asked HHOFer Igor Larionov to pick what that roster could have looked like
