A rare Saturday without NHL action, as Bettman's players head off on vacation.

Almost all players are taking time off, in fact. Some will represent their clubs at the Olympics. And those players are probably not in the AHL. The Rocket was in action this afternoon and won 4-1 against the Cleveland Monsters.

It was their third win this week, but more importantly, it was the fifth consecutive win for Pascal Vincent's team.

Jacob Fowler was in goal for Laval for the seventh consecutive game.

He was unbeatable, stopping 22 of the 23 shots he faced.

Fowler, who believes his stint in the NHL ended too quickly, maintained a .902 save percentage with the habs. He also maintained a 2.62 goals-against average.

But in the AHL, he's even better. In 24 games, he has a save percentage of .914 and a goals-against average of 2.26. He's one of the best goalies in the league, and he's only 21 years old, mind you.

Currently, Jakub Dobes and Samuel Montembeault are doing well under the guidance of Marco Marciano.I don't see the American returning to the big league anytime soon, but in any case, it's better for him to play a lot in the AHL for now.

Another interesting prospect to watch was David Reinbacher. After missing a few games, he was back in action and got an assist on his team's third goal.

For those who missed the game, the Austrian played a solid game.

He took one shot on goal and, as usual, kept the game simple.

Florian Xhekaj also made headlines.

He was ejected after a fight, having had a three-point night the night before.
