It's done.
The Laval Rocket has hired Ilia Ejov as the Laval Rocket's goalie coach. He will hold the position on an interim basis until the end of the current season.

We're talking about a Russian man who spent 13 years in the KHL as a player. He is presented as a Russian-Québécois by the Rocket and speaks French—in addition to English and Russian.
He is no stranger to Montreal, having been a guest coach at the habs' last development camp.
He was recently known as the goalie coach at Concordia. And now, to finish out the season, he will be working alongside Jacob Fowler and the farm team's goalies.
It will be up to him to prove himself in order to get the full-time position next year.
Marco Marciano, who will be supporting the Rocket during the Canadiens' Olympic break, now knows what to expect. His counterpart has been found in Laval.
Marciano will therefore have some time to get Ejov up to speed on the organization's philosophy before Jakub Dobes and Samuel Montembeault return from vacation.
Ejov played in the QMJHL in the past and recently played for the Laval Pétroliers in the LNAH. He even played two games this season at the age of 39.
It remains to be seen whether this will be a good signing.

– Gavin McKenna is causing a lot of stir.
Gavin McKenna's defense will likely hinge on self-defense. A plea deal is possible where his lawyers will insist on no criminal record.
Aggravated assault is a crime of moral turpitude, which can make someone inadmissible to enter the US, a serious issue for an NHL player.
