The Canadiens players are officially on break.
As you might expect, several guys will be working up a sweat over the next few days. It's the same every year when the guys have a break.
On that note, it looks like Ivan Demidov has chosen Florida as his sunny destination.

But not all Canadiens players will be heading to sunny destinations. Four forwards will be traveling to Italy for the Olympics, so they won't be getting any time off.
And what about Lane Hutson? He doesn't plan on sticking his toes in the sand.
In fact, as Renaud Lavoie said this morning on BPM Sports, the defenseman will be heading to Boston to watch the BeanPot final before traveling to Chicago to be with his family.
And let's just say that, throughout all this, there will be some ice time on the menu.
Sometimes, the best players in the world are also the ones who refuse to leave the arena. Sidney Crosby immediately comes to mind as an example of this.
Whether it was at the Four Nations or when he went skating in Tremblant instead of heading south, there are many examples of Sidney Crosby's dedication.

Lane Hutson clearly has the same kind of energy. He always wants to be on the ice… to the point where the Canadiens sometimes have to tell him to stay home. That happened recently during an optional practice.
Hutson, who skated with Ivan Demidov in Montreal on Christmas Day, will have to manage his energy levels. But clearly, the fact that he eats hockey three times a day explains his success since arriving in the NHL.
Overtime
– Interesting.
The #CFMTL has found its third goalie.
Keita will still have to get some playing time in the U18 league (if he wants to get it outside of practice) since the club doesn't have a reserve team and Gillier + Breza are ahead of him. https://t.co/8porAQAQcp
