David Reinbacher is not lucky.
We know that: he has been sidelined several times since arriving in North America, which is not ideal.
The defenseman hasn't played since January 24, in fact. But we could possibly see him make a comeback this weekend.
At least that's what the club's head coach, Pascal Vincent, told Vincent Demuy.
There is a scenario in which the Canadiens prospect could play tomorrow, when the Rocket travels to Cleveland to face the Monsters. But…
But it's not 100% certain, and it's important to note that the defenseman will not be able to play tonight. Reinbacher is still waiting for the green light from the team doctors before he can return to help his club.
Pascal Vincent told me that it's not impossible that David Reinbacher could play in tomorrow afternoon's game against Cleveland.
The @RocketLaval coach is scheduled to speak with Glen Kinney today to determine whether the Austrian is ready. https://t.co/1BZE1miO6B

That would be nice for the defenseman, because he has missed a lot of action since the start of the season.
The Rocket has played 45 games since the start of the season… and Reinbacher has only been able to play in 33 of those 45 games. It's not a complete disaster, but it's not great either.
It would certainly be good for the Rocket as well.
Reinbacher plays an important role on the team's blue line, and Pascal Vincent, who is very fond of him, doesn't hesitate to give him important tasks on the ice. Without making too much noise, the Austrian has helped the Rocket succeed… and it's no coincidence that the Laval team is currently ranked first in its division and sixth overall in the American Hockey League.
So, it remains to be seen.
But again, it would come as no surprise if the Rocket announced that Reinbacher will be able to play tomorrow afternoon, which would be great news.
