Since his dismissal to Laval on January 16, Jacob Fowler has had only one goal in mind: to return to the NHL.

That's what we learn in an article by Herb Zurkowsky published in The Gazette.

For the young goaltender, his call-up with the Canadiens was a dream come true, but unfortunately, it ended too soon.

Fowler knew that his first NHL experience might not last long, but now that he's had a taste of it, he's doing everything he can to return to the big club.

In ten games with the habs, the Florida native posted a 4-4-2 record, including one shutout, a 2.62 goals-against average, and a .902 save percentage.

Since his return to Laval, the young prospect has been thinking every day about what he can do to get back with the Habs and help the club win.

However, Fowler is also aware that with the Rocket, he will get more playing time, which is ultimately more conducive to his development.

After a few mediocre games upon his return to Laval, including one in which the goaltender allowed five goals on only 25 shots, he has been particularly solid in the last three games, three wins, in which he allowed only five goals in total.

In fact, Fowler has been in goal for the Rocket's last five games since Kaapo Kähkönen is injured and is being evaluated on a daily basis.

Overall, the 21-year-old goaltender is having a good season in Laval with a 15-7-0 record, three shutouts, a 2.24 goals-against average, and a .915 save percentage.

If he can bring those kinds of numbers to the habs, the team should win a lot more games than it loses.

In addition, the young goaltender has also shown with the Rocket that he can bounce back quickly after a poor performance.

However, his recall doesn't depend so much on him as on the situation with the goalies in Montreal, and as long as they continue to do their job, Fowler could still stay in Laval for a while to continue his development.
