Gavin McKenna is in trouble. We know that.
The forward, who has great potential (and is considered one of the top prospects in the upcoming draft), is facing four charges for breaking another person's jaw last weekend.
We have more details about the story today.
According to Sean Gentille (The Athletic), McKenna allegedly struck the person twice after a verbal altercation.
Here is what the journalist mentions in his article:
Gavin McKenna allegedly struck a man twice after a trade of words on Saturday near the entrance to a parking lot, sending the man to the hospital with a broken jaw and a missing tooth and leaving blood on a sidewalk in State College, Pennsylvania. – Sean Gentille
According to Gentille, the maximum penalty for first-degree aggravated assault in Pennsylvania is 20 years in prison and/or a $25,000 fine.
How do you think this will end?
Went through criminal complaint/probable cause affidavit for Gavin McKenna.
– He allegedly punched a man twice “following an exchange of words between (the man) and the group of people that (McKenna) was with,” about 150 feet from Doggie's.

Gavin McKenna faces expulsion.
Penn State University may be forced to make an important decision… because it may not want to be associated with a story like this.
But this whole story is really surreal, honestly.
It's causing a lot of reaction on social media, which is normal in a way. What's happening with McKenna right now is huge… and with the kid in trouble, we're all wondering what will happen to him next.
This is perhaps the hottest topic in the world of hockey, even though he doesn't play in the NHL yet.
And that says a lot…
