Samuel Montembeault hasn't played since January 24.
That's a long time.
But… there's a reason for that: Jakub Dobes has been on fire in front of the net lately. It's hard to bench him because he's been doing such a good job recently.
That said… the Canadiens are playing tomorrow in Winnipeg, and we're wondering who will be the starting goalie for the Montreal club. Technically, it's Monty's turn, but we have a right to wonder who will play.
In the eyes of Renaud Lavoie, who spoke about it on BPM Sports, the choice is obvious: it has to be Montembeault. And according to the journalist, it's “obvious” that Monty will be in net tomorrow:
Tony Marinaro agrees.
He believes it's Montembeault's turn since Dobes failed to win last night—even though he wasn't terrible in front of the net.
What do you think?
Which goalie should start in net for the Habs in the last game before the break?

I would go with Jakub Dobes.
The Winnipeg Jets don't have the biggest club in the NHL, and it would be a great way for the habs to earn as many points as possible in the standings.
Let's not forget that this is the last game before the Olympic break, so why not take advantage of it to give ourselves the best chance of getting the W?
Right now, Dobes is giving the Habs the best chance to win.
He's the one who gives the rest of the group confidence, and that's an important factor in the locker room right now. If I were Martin St-Louis, I'd go with Dobes…
But for fairly normal reasons, I would understand why the coach would send Monty into the fray. He has to play in a sense, but Doby so deserves to get another win before the break…
