As you probably know, things are unfortunately pretty rocky in Minnesota.

With everything that's going on with immigration police and the resulting deaths, let's just say that Minnesota isn't the safest place on earth right now.

Those who can avoid the area are advised to do so.

However, there are some people who can't avoid Minnesota right now, including the members of the Canadiens. They have a game tonight against the Wild, as you probably know.

Obviously, the organization has taken steps to ensure that the club's players are safe and do not find themselves in problematic situations.

Luc Gélinas, who was on Kevin Vallée's radio show (Le Grand Réveil de Charlevoix) this morning, addressed the subject of the club's guidelines.

We invite you to listen to the segment in question.

First, the Canadiens did not leave Buffalo after Saturday night's game: they left the city the next day. The goal was to spend one less night in Minnesota before the game.

It should also be noted that the club will remain in Minnesota tonight instead of heading to Winnipeg. Why? Because if there are any disturbances in the city tonight, the Canadiens will not be in a hurry to leave the arena to make their way to Manitoba.

The club is also advising its players not to leave the hotel. If the guys want to eat, they should do so at the club hotel so they don't have to set foot outside.

And when they have to travel (to the arena, that is), it's best to do so on the club bus instead of walking outside. It's also best to carry your passport with you.

Obviously, what's happening with ICE in Minneapolis goes beyond hockey. That's why, until the guys set foot in Winnipeg, they'll have to be cautious.

It must be a stressful situation. And justimagine: the habs people (and those covering the team) will only be passing through town. Living there right now must be horrible.

Overtime

– Interesting.

– Note.

– Oh, really?

– A name to watch.

– Good question.
