The Habs began their three-game road trip before the Olympic break.

First stop: Buffalo. A four-point game, then.

Here are the lineups:

Montreal broke the ice in this very important game.

Juraj Slafkovsky scored from his favorite spot on the power play.

What a shot!

The Slovakian surpasses Henri Richard for the most goals in club history before the age of 22.

In the second period, the Sabres tied the score.

Owen Power beat Jakub Dobes while the habs were serving a delayed penalty.

At the end of the period, Noah Ostlund gave his team the lead.

Montreal had a terrible second period.

The Sabres are tough…

But in the third period, the Habs came out like lions. Cole Caufield, once again, beat Alex Lyon with a majestic deflection.

Did you think the American was done scoring? Well, no. He gave the habs the lead a few moments later.

Caufield, who has 11 goals in his last eight games, ranks third in the league in goals.

Only the league's two best players, Connor McDavid and Nathan MacKinnon, are ahead of him.

It turned out to be the game-winning goal.

Final score: 4-2. Oliver Kapanen scored the insurance goal into an empty net late in the game. Jakub Dobes was phenomenal in the win, stopping 38 of 40 shots.

Let's send him into the fray on Monday in Minnesota! Montreal will be in Winnipeg for its last game before the Olympic break on Wednesday.
