In recent months, Ivan Demidov haspartneredwith Ashton, the famous restaurant in Quebec City.

It was on the heels of the Montreal expansion of the branch that the Canadiens star player lent his name to the company. That was last October.

It got people talking.

But now Ashton has taken it a step further. The day after the game between the Nordiques and the Canadiens, we were treated to an advertisement featuring Zachary Bolduc and his new poutine.

Bolduc, like Ashton, started out in Quebec City (with the Remparts) before moving to Montreal… and the company made a point of mentioning this in its press release on the subject.

Bolduc topped his poutine with local steak, crispy bacon, and Boursin cheese. That makes me hungry.

It's always funny to see a hockey player partner with a product like poutine, considering that the guys do everything they can to stay healthy.

In the past, several Habs players have had their own junk food products—mostly related to McDonald's. Earlier this season, Samuel Montembeault had his own poutine with McDonald's.

When you have several Québécois on your team, it opens the door to talking about poutine more often.

It's worth noting that Bolduc, known as a goal scorer, is not having the season of his career, scoring less often than last year. That said, in recent games, he has found a role in Martin St-Louis' lineup.

Will you try poutine?
