The Canadiens managed to win yesterday's game against the Golden Knights.

Let's go!

Let's see what happened in the other games played across the NHL:

1: Craig Berube is not happy

Last night, the Leafs were crushed at home.

The club lost 7-4 to the Buffalo Sabres, and the defeat is unacceptable in Craig Berube's eyes. The coach was fed up after seeing his club lose a fifth straight game at home… and he said the Leafs need to stop giving up goals if they want to win.

Yikes.

You can sense in Berube's emotion that he's not happy.

And with good reason.

What's happening in Toronto right now is not great. The club is unable to achieve success on a regular basis, and the stars (hello, Nylander) are slacking off when they're not playing.

Oh dear…

2: Speaking of the Leafs game…

In the Sabres' 7-4 victory, Rasmus Dahlin stood out.

And we have to talk about it.

The Buffalo captain finished the game with five points, including three goals. He had his best offensive game of his National Hockey League career and was his team's offensive driving force in the game.

Three goals and two assists for a defenseman is something you don't see very often:

Dahlin is among the elite, and we saw why last night.

It's worth noting that the day before, his wife announced that they were expecting a baby and that she ultimately had a miscarriage. Seeing Dahlin have the game of his life after all that is special.

3: Macklin Celebrini is truly unstoppable

Just imagine: you're 19 years old… and you're dominating the best hockey league on the planet.

That's what Macklin Celebrini must be thinking right now. The young Sharks star had ANOTHER crazy game last night, racking up four points (one goal and three assists) in a game played in Vancouver, where he grew up:

Celebrini's four points helped the Sharks win 5-2 against the Canucks.

It's worth noting that Celebrini now has 78 points in just 51 games this season. What he's doing is truly impressive…

4: Another goal for Ovi

Okay. The Capitals may have lost 5-1 to the Seattle Kraken last night… but that's okay.

It doesn't matter because, despite the loss, Alex Ovechkin managed to find a way to score. It happened on a powerplay:

Ovi scored his 919th career goal in the NHL.

I really wonder if he can make it to 1,000. I especially wonder if it's playing on his mind a little.

But at the same time, we know the guy is 40 years old… and that he could decide to end his career back home in Russia. I can't wait to see what happens with all this in the coming months: remember that Ovechkin is in the final year of his contract…

5: A great achievement for Patrick Kane

Patrick Kane is one of the best players in history.

No doubt about it.

And yesterday, in his team's 3-1 loss to the Wings… Kane tied Mike Modano's record for most points scored in the NHL by an American.

Kane assisted on a goal by his good friend, Alex DeBrincat:

Obviously, this is a really interesting achievement for Kane. It solidifies his place among the greats and he can boast of being possibly the best American in NHL history.

Which is no small feat, let's be clear.
