Alexander Zharovsky is having a great season in the KHL. The 18-year-old, who is playing a lot of minutes with his club, has 13 goals and 35 points in 42 games.
The statistics are a bit misleading in that he is in a perfect position to produce offensively (which is rare for a young player his age), but he is doing very well nonetheless.
This makes us wonder when he might arrive in town.According to Marco D'Amico, we can probably forget about seeing him leave Russia this season.
When is it Zharovksy time?

That said, it doesn't change the fact that there's a lot of excitement surrounding the young Russian. And in the latest episode ofMathias et le Serpent, Simon Boisvert took on the task of ranking his top 10 habs prospects.
Not only did the Snake put Zharovsky at the top of the list, but he also mentioned the following:
In terms of talent, [Zharovsky] is the second most gifted forward in the organization, behind Ivan Demidov. – Simon Boisvert
Of course, we know that it takes more than talent to be a good player in the NHL. TheSnake isn't saying that Zharovsky will eventually be better than Nick Suzuki or Juraj Slafkovský: he's just saying that, in his opinion, Zharovsky is moretalented than those guys.
But we can all agree that this is still a big statement, because these guys are no slouches.
It should be noted that, according toSnake, we should be cautious before saying that Zharovsky is Demidov 2.0, given that the two guys have slightly different skill sets. But what we understand is that, in Boisvert's eyes, the Canadiens have a truly, truly talented player on their hands.
It remains to be seen whether that talent will eventually translate to the NHL, which is not a given considering that Zharovsky needs to refine certain aspects of his game. But if the kid manages to develop well, he has all the tools to be a real factor in the habs' top six within a few years.

– The question arises.
Zachary Bolduc has been playing some great hockey lately. Martin St-Louis himself acknowledges this.
So I don't understand how he could have played only 8 seconds more than Brendan Gallagher on Tuesday and 25 seconds LESS (11:17) the game before. pic.twitter.com/kEwzYCkA7F

– What do you think?
Will Colton Parayko be a good option for the Canadiens to play to the right of Lane Hutson?
