William Nylander really did something stupid yesterday. Even though he apologized, his middle finger made the rounds on social networks.

It wasn't just this gesture that caught my attention in the NHL yesterday.

Here are the results and highlights from the other games:

1. Sens crush Habs' next opponents

On Tuesday, the Golden Knights will be in town to take on the Habs.

Before that, they were in Ottawa, and let's just say it didn't go well. They were crushed 7-1. In defeat, Rasmus Andersson scored his first goal with the team.

For the Sens, Mads Sogaard picked up his first win in his first start of the season.

He stopped 19 of 20 shots.

Thomas Chabot picked up two assists in the win.

He also made news for jumping on his own bench.

The winners' top scorers were Stephen Halliday and Brady Tkachuk, with three points each.

2. Two goals for Benjamin Kindel in front of his family

In Vancouver, the Penguins were visiting, which meant that Benjamin Kindel, a native of British Columbia, was playing in front of his family.

He scored twice.

The other goal was scored by Evgeni Malkin.

He has 40 points in 36 games this season… at age 39.

Pittsburgh led 3-0 and Vancouver closed the gap to one goal, but it wasn't enough.

Stuart Skinner, in his last eight games, has some very good stats himself.

Marc-André Fleury did his best impression here.

The importance of the game wasn't the same, but the rest is the same.

3. Joey D'Accord tries to score

In the afternoon, the Kraken and Devils faced off.

Seattle won 4-2, and goaltender Joey D'Accord took advantage of the situation to try to score. But without success.

It's not the first time he's tried to find the back of the net, this one.

Matt Beniers made his mark in the win. In the third, he scored a superb goal.

At one point in the game, Devils defenseman Brett Pesce fell to the ice and hit his head hard.

He came back into the game like a warrior.

Speaking of Devils defensemen, Dougie Hamilton scored in the loss and increased his streak of games with at least one point to seven.

Is New Jersey really interested in trading him right now?

4. Beckett Sennecke hat trick

In a Ducks overtime win over the Flames, it was Beckett Sennecke's night, as he scored a hat trick.

His third goal was the overtime winner.

With this performance, he has regained the lead in the rookie scoring charts.

He has two more goals than Oliver Kapanen.

In post-game interview, he got shaving cream in the face.

The Ducks' other goal was scored by Chris Kreider.

The net forced overtime.
