Are things going well for the Canadiens lately?
Meh…
The Montreal club has lost four of its last six games. We thought the win over the Wild this week would change things because the Canadiens played a near-perfect game, but no. The last two losses have brought everyone back to order, and the next week doesn't look any easier…
In the next few days, the Canadiens will face three excellent clubs. There's the Avalanche, who are having the time of their lives…
Then there's the Golden Knights, who always find a way to be dangerous, and who have one of the finest teams in the National League…
And there will be the cursed Buffalo Sabres, who have beaten the Canadiens twice in the last ten days.
No, the Canadiens won't have a chance to breathe in the next seven days. At least, the next two games will be at home…

How many points (out of 6) will the Canadiens be able to win this week? I'd like to see what you think.
That said, for the Habs to have a good week, it's going to take some changes. The top guys are going to have to play like the top guys, and the goalies are going to have to find a way to make the saves in front of the net.
It will be interesting to see how Samuel Montembeault and Jakub Dobes are used over the next few days. Will Jacob Fowler be recalled?
Will we prioritize Dobes' playing time in the context of Monty's inability to maintain a lead? Hmm…
It remains to be seen, but the right decisions will have to be made because this is also an important week for the Habs in the standings. Because the more things go on, the tighter things get in the East.
And the Canadiens can't start losing more often than not between now and the end of the regular season. Otherwise, we'll be able to say “bye bye playoffs”…

Overtime

Would the Habs be better off with a goalie instead of a top 6?
