It's the Cole Caufield show today at TD Garden.
On Saturday night, he scored a hat trick in less than two periods, 33 minutes and 29 seconds to be exact. Two of his goals were scored on the power play.
His third goal was the real deal. What a shot!

His first two goals weren't ugly either.
Here they are.

If he continues to score like this, he could finish 2026 among the NHL's top scorers.
Right now, he's tied for first with Auston Matthews and Mark Stone. Not bad!
More goals in 2026
Cole Caufield: 10
Auston Matthews: 10
Mark Stone: 10

One goal shy of the 30-goal plateau, the diminutive forward is on track to score 45 goals.
The last time a Habs player scored that many goals was in 1987. Stéphane Richer scored 50 that year.
What a season!
Extension
The American, who won't be going to the Olympics, has at least one goal in five consecutive games and has eight goals in that sequence.
Thanks for letting him rest during the Olympics, Bill Guerin.
