Yesterday was a big hockey Saturday, with 13 games on the National Hockey League schedule throughout the day.
A number of highlights made noise across the league.
Here's a rundown.
1. Big win for the Leafs in Winnipeg
The playoff race is extremely tight in the Eastern Conference, with quite a few teams still in the hunt, and no team with a comfortable cushion.
This means that a sequence of wins or losses can change everything in the space of a few days.
We laughed at the Toronto Maple Leafs a few weeks ago because they were in last place in the conference, but now they're on a winning streak and one point out of the playoffs.
That's what their 4-3 overtime win over the Winnipeg Jets yesterday allowed them to do.

2. Bruins and Panthers win
The Canadiens really did well to come away with the two points last night, as their division rivals mostly won.
The Panthers won 5-2 over the Washington Capitals, while the Boston Bruins also won 5-2 over the Chicago Blackhawks.

My day started with being told Mason Lohrei was getting traded from the Boston Bruins to the Calgary Flames. Instead he remains a member of the #NHLBruins and has celebrated turning 25 today with a 2-goal game. pic.twitter.com/xmKCoPVgrQ

Both teams remain in the playoff hunt, with the Bruins in a strong position and the Panthers trying to hang on.
3. Hat tricks for Mika Zibanejad and Andrei Svechnikov
There were two hat tricks yesterday, as Mika Zibanejad scored one in the New York Rangers' first game since the GM's letter to fans.
They won 6-3 over the Philadelphia Flyers.

And on the other side, Andrei Svechnikov scored three goals in a 4-1 win over the New Jersey Devils, thanks to three assists from Sebastian Aho.

4. Superb play by Beckett Sennecke in overtime
The Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings faced off for the second straight game in two nights, and it was a tightly contested affair.
In Los Angeles on Friday, the Ducks came out on top in a shootout, and last night in Anaheim, they won 2-1 in overtime.
It was rookie Beckett Sennecke who made a superb diving save to steal the puck away from the Kings and allow Mikael Granlund to give his team the win.

5. Oilers whitewash Canucks
Against all odds, an Edmonton Oilers goaltender pulled off a shutout last night, as Tristan Jarry turned aside all 31 shots by the Vancouver Canucks.
The Oilers won 6-0.
