Since Juraj Slafkovsky was paired with the Ivan Demidov and Oliver Kapanen line, he has been the Montreal Canadiens' best forward.

This line is probably the best the Habs have had since the Slovak joined them.

On the other hand, it leaves a hole on the first line with Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki.

Frenchman Alexandre Texier has had some great moments since joining this line, but it's clear that he can't be the long-term solution.

Kirby Dach and Patrik Laine should be back in the next few weeks if all goes well, and they'll probably get their chance on this line.

However, if they don't get the job done, we'll have to find another solution, and that will have to involve a trade.

On JiC's show, he believes that the Habs should trade for Québécois Alexis Lafrenière to fill the hole on the first line.

It really wouldn't be a bad thing.

One more Québécois (and a talented one at that), why not?

However,Laffy is struggling to establish himself as a star player, as a true first overall pick.

After all, he already scored 28 goals two years ago. The Québécois definitely has what it takes to be an impact player, and a change of scenery could certainly do him good.

We know that things aren't going well for the Rangers this season, who have the only record below .500 in the entire Eastern Conference.

And we know just how much playing in Montreal can boost a Québécois' career. Obviously, it's not for everyone (just ask Jonathan Drouin), but generally speaking, all Québécois dream of and love playing for the Habs.

The Saint-Eustache native could be the perfect complement to Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki, giving the Habs an excellent top-6.

However, with all the injured players who will eventually return to the lineup, we'll have to make room for another forward.

According to JiC, Zachary Bolduc is already gone.

Clearly, Bolduc is having trouble finding his place with the Habs.

In my opinion, he should take a trip to Laval, play a lot and find his bearings (especially since he doesn't have to go through waivers).

Let's see if Kent Hughes wants to add another forward to his group.

Overtime

– He's so talented.

– Incredible.

– Things are going well for Canada's U18 women's team against Finland.
