Last night, the Habs beat the Panthers for the seventh time in a row.

There were 11 other games in the NHL.

Here are the results and highlights:

1. Sens, crushed by Avalanche, sign goalie during game

The Senators were so dominated by the Colorado Avalanche that, during the game, they signed James Reimer to a professional tryout. This was also motivated by the fact that Linus Ullmark is currently out.

Obviously, Reimer wasn't able to make it to the Sens on time. Colorado scored eight goals en route to an 8-2 victory.

With a four-point performance, Nathan MacKinnon led the league in scoring.

It was the Avalanche's 16th straight home win.

What a team!

In the win, Samuel Girard threw down the gloves against… Tim Stutzle.

Cale Makar took part in the massacre, too.

He became the first defenseman this season to reach the 50-point plateau.

2. 500th goal for Patrick Kane

The Habs can't keep up with the Wings in the standings, because they keep winning too.

Just yesterday, Detroit defeated the Canucks 5-1.

In the victory, Patrick Kane scored two goals to reach the 500 career plateau.

Alex DeBrincat played a little trick on him.

That's not very nice…

The American, who became the 50th player in history to score 500 goals, has at least two goals against every franchise.

He even has two goals against his former team, the Blackhawks.

3. A 17th straight game with at least one point for Connor McDavid

Connor McDavid was looking to extend his streak of games with at least one point to 17 last night against the Jets.

That didn't seem to happen until TSN jinxed the whole thing.

He finished the game with a goal and an assist, his first goal against the Jets since 2022-2023.

Edmonton came from behind to win against one of the league's most disappointing teams.

Winnipeg has lost its last 11 games.

First, Zach Hyman tied the game.

Then, Evan Bouchard scored the winning goal.

4. Scott Laughton scores on his return to Philadelphia

In Philadelphia, it was the return of Scott Laughton, who switched to the Leafs just last season.

With the Flyers ahead 1-0, he picked a good time to score a goal.

Just before, Toronto had lacked opportunism.

Morgan Rielly missed an open net.

Philadelphia, meanwhile, saw one of its goals disallowed.

The visitors finally prevailed in overtime.

Easton Cowan sealed the win.

5. Sixth straight win for the Penguins

It's a shame the Penguins are so dominant. Maybe Sidney Crosby would have changed his address, otherwise…

Yesterday, Pittsburgh won again and increased its winning streak to six.

Evgeni Malkin was back in the game.

He scored.

Sidney Crosby also put on a show.

He registered an assist on his team's first goal. He thus tied Wayne Gretzky for the most assists with a single franchise.

Pittsburgh is still at the top of the draft.
