The Canadiens won their game against the Flames last night. Yeah!
There were four other NHL games.
Let's take a look at what caught our eye:
There have been 44 game-tying goals scored within the last two minutes of regulation this season, the second most at this stage (681 GP) after 2013-14 (45).#NHLStats: https://t.co/KcNLAfgNrp pic.twitter.com/Gquthpzs2i

1: A (very) bizarre situation in Chicago
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7…
Seven is the number of goals Jordan Binnington allowed last night against the Chicago Blackhawks. Agreed: not ideal.
But after the Hawks' 7th goal, Jim Montgomery wanted to take Binnington out of the game. The problem?
Binnington wouldn't come out of the game… and Montgomery couldn't find his replacement, Joel Hofer, on his team's bench. A comical moment… and a ridiculous one at that:
After the Blackhawks scored their 7th of the game, Jim Montgomery tried to pull Jordan Binnington for Joel Hofer…
But Binnington appeared to refuse to come off the ice, and Hofer was hiding down the tunnel to the Blues' locker room?

The Hawks won 7-3, but it was the sequence above that got everyone talking.
Holy Binnington, hehe. And I wonder what Hofer was thinking…
Didn't he want to play?
2: Macklin Celebrini dominates… again
The Sharks lost 3-2 to the Kings late in the third period.
No big deal!
When you've got a guy named Macklin Celebrini in your club, any comeback is possible:

Celebrini scored the equalizer with just over a minute to play… and he was also an accomplice to William Eklund's winning goal in overtime.
A three-point night for the youngster… again:
So uhhhh, how about these Sharks?!

Celebrini added an assist on his team's first goal and helped the Sharks beat the Kings 4-3.
He's having quite a season. And I'm happy to see that he'll be taking part in the Olympic Games next month in Milan, playing for Canada.
He deserves it, after all.
3: Alex Ovechkin closes in on 1,000 goals
Last night, the Capitals were no match for the Stars.
The Dallas outfit won 4-1 and dominated the game from start to finish. But…
But in defeat, Alex Ovechkin managed to put in a good word for himself. He scored his 915th career goal in the National League:

I wonder if it would be possible to see Alex Ovechkin reach the 1,000 career goal plateau one day.
A little birdie tells me no, because he's already starting to slow down and because he's aging visibly.
But with Ovi, anything seems possible…
4: The Mammoth is too strong for the Sens
The Senators paid a visit to the Mammoth's home last night. And it didn't go as planned for the Ottawa outfit.
The Mammoth scored two goals in the first eight minutes of the game… and never looked back:

Ridly Greig scored to bring the score to 2-1, but it was the Sens' only moment of glory in the game.
The Mammoth won 3-1 on a Daniil But goal late in the third period.
The Sens are on an ordinary run, with a 5-4-1 record in their last 10 games. Good for the Habs, who continue to win…
