We know what the plan is for tonight.
For those who were wondering: no, Kaiden Guhle won't be in uniform. The defenseman skated at the Bell Centre for a good 40 minutes this morning… but he's obviously not 100% ready to return yet.
Oh, and it's worth noting that Samuel Montembeault will be in net for the Canadiens tonight. Will he be able to put in another strong performance against the Panthers?

Obviously, this is another big test for Monty.
He's done well in his last two games and since returning from Laval, but he's got to keep it up. He has to prove to management that he can still help the Canadiens on the ice, and that's going to happen with another big game.
Because let's face it: the Québécois has been really solid against the Stars and the Panthers in recent days. Without him, the Habs probably wouldn't have won those two games…
And let's not forget that defenseman Adam Engström was sent back to Laval earlier this morning.
That said, there will be no changes to Martin St-Louis' lineup (except for Montembeault) for tonight's game against Florida. The lineup will look like this, then, and that's not a bad thing because we saw the result of yesterday's game with this formation:

In closing, things haven't been going so well for the Panthers lately.
The Florida club has lost four of its last six games and will be looking to bounce back at the Bell Centre with a banged-up lineup. Brad Marchand won't be in uniform, and neither will Seth Jones.
The Habs will have to find a way to take advantage.
Overtime
Last night, the Bell Centre was on fire.
The Canadiens put on quite a show for their fans in their first home game of 2026… and it would be interesting to see the club do the same tonight against the Panthers.
