Michel Villeneuve is a popular name in Quebec sports media.

He was part of the 110% team and is remembered as someone who was never afraid to speak his mind. In recent years, he's used his X account to send out messages(including a few directed at JiC).

Now he's back in the media, after keeping a low profile in recent years.

Martin Lemay announced it today: Villeneuve is joining the Retour sur YouTube team. He will be present every Wednesday and Thursday to offer his comments in a column based on the Canadiens' activities.

Today, he talked about the brilliance of Juraj Slafkovsky and the importance of Lane Hutson (who should have made the club for the Americans at the Olympics, in his opinion) with the Habs:

I like Martin Lemay's idea. Michel Villeneuve has always been direct in his comments, and it's sure to make for a good show too .

Because it's always fun to hear someone say what they think… and Villeneuve has seen it all in his career. He's experienced and he'll bring a different touch to the Martin Lemay show.

It could make for some good clips, at least… hehe.

Last summer, there were rumors that Michel Villeneuve would host the comeback show on BPM Sports for the 25-26 radio season.

It never materialized… but hey. In the end, we'll be able to hear Michel Villeneuve in Le Retour: it will officially be on YouTube, not on the radio…
