Patrik Laine has dealt with mental health issues in the past. You know that.
In recent years, he has never shied away from the issue, and has often spoken out publicly to destigmatize the situation. He does this through his From Us To You Foundation.
His wife Jordan is also involved with him.
We're talking about it this morning because the Laine couple gave an interview to The Gazette's Jennifer Campbell. In the interview, Laine talked about mental health and the difficulties that come with it.
And he came out with a shocking phrase.
It's important [to get involved] because I know what it's like to suffer in silence. – Patrik Laine
Laine has been affected by mental health issues on the ice in the past. But obviously, even if you can't see it, it's also had an impact on his personal life.
It just makes sense.

Since his arrival in Montreal, injuries have continued to affect the Finn's career. As a result, he hasn't had it easy, and he's had to face new trials and tribulations.
Mentally, it's hard not to play.
On this subject, it's worth noting that the main interested party has recently started skating again. He was spotted in Brossard this morning, before the healthy players were due to practice.
He seems to be getting better.
The Finnish forward seems to be in very good shape. He skates very well and seems to have good speed.

The Laines are currently experiencing uncertainty as #92's contract expires in six months. The chances of him staying in Montreal aren't the greatest, let's say.
We'll see what happens to the couple in the coming months.
