The Canadiens have a good team.
The club has been winning more often than not since the start of the season, and we can see the potential for the future. The young guys are good, there are other guys growing within the organization and the core in place isn't old.
It's exciting for the future.
The more things go on, the more natural it is to believe that the Canadiens have a chance of lifting the Stanley Cup again, one day. Renaud Lavoie wet his whistle on BPM Sports, just for fun:
Within 10 years, I think the Habs can easily win two Stanley Cups. And I'd even go so far as to say three! – Renaud Lavoie
Obviously, nothing is guaranteed at this level.
But right now, the Canadiens are heading in the right direction. They made the playoffs last season, and they still have a chance of making them next spring.
Things are going well at the moment.

You have to give Jeff Gorton and Kent Hughes credit.
The duo truly transformed the Canadiens organization upon their arrival because they did things the right way. We're sticking to the rebuilding plan, we're making the right decisions, we don't want to move too quickly with our plan…
And so far, it's working. The results are there, and once again, it's only likely to get better over the next few years.
That's the beauty of it all. Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton are building a club that will have a chance of lifting the precious trophy at some point, and for the club's supporters, that's encouraging.
After all, it's been a long time since we've seen this in Montreal.
And I'd like Renaud Lavoie to be right with his prediction…

– Good point.
I'm watching the World Junior. I understand that the guys lost the day before and that they're disappointed to be playing for bronze. But cuddle up! Have fun! This is a great chance to shine internationally. Have fun and enjoy it. One tournament does not make a career.

– Good news.
A minor update on #Avs Captain Gabe Landeskog ..
He is traveling back to Denver today. Team should have more of an update tomorrow ahead of the game against Tampa Bay.
