Canada will unveil its official line-up for the Milan-Cortina Olympics on Wednesday, but we've already got a sneak preview.

Macklin Celebrini will be on the final list for Team Canada.

That's what ESPN's Emily Kaplan reported on Platform X on Tuesday evening.

That's quite a feat for the Sharks' young center, who's only 19!

But it's fully deserved. He's producing at an incredible rate for a team that's far from among the NHL's elite.

Celebrini already has 60 points in just 39 games this season.

Continuing at the same pace, he would finish the season with 126 points. This would be the second-highest single-season total by an under-20 player in NHL history.

He's also on track to become the second-fastest player under 20 to reach the 100-point plateau in a single season.

Macklin Celebrini's selection at only 19 years old is truly impressive. Even Sidney Crosby wasn't selected by Canada for the 2006 Olympics, when he was also 19.

But it wasn't Crosby's fault. Team Canada management had tried to go with a veteran line-up. Crosby was left out despite his 102-point season.

Getting back to Emily Kaplan, she explained in her post that we'll have to keep an eye on Connor Bedard, who was “just outside” the selection process in recent weeks. His recent injury prevented him from continuing to impress, but he was on the right track.

We'll be treated to the full Team Canada lineup on Wednesday, and until then, we're entitled to some expert predictions. If RDS's François Gagnon were in charge of the selection, a certain Mike Matheson would make the team!

Overtime

– This Colorado team is simply too good.

– Manon Rhéaume's son is impressing.

– One to watch!

– He's got to be better.
