Right now, there's a lot of talk about what's happening at the CMJ. But there's also another major hockey tournament underway: the Spengler Cup.
And this year's tournament was an interesting one for Habs fans to follow… because Team Canada's GM and coach were Marc Bergevin and Michel Therrien.
For a long time, these two had been a team in Montreal.
Unfortunately, the adventure didn't last long for the two men's team: Canada has (already) been eliminated.
The club was eliminated in the quarterfinals against HC Sparta by a score of 5-1.
Canada suffers quarter-final defeat.

It wasn't a great tournament for Canada, who ended up losing two of their three matches (including today's). It's worth noting that the club's goalkeeper was Connor Hughes, who was with Laval last season.
However, he didn't allow all five goals today: two of them were scored in an empty net.
It's worth noting that, in addition to Team Canadiens, another team is making waves this year: a line-up of NCAA players has impressed since the start of the tournament and could continue to make headway during the competition.
At least, they're on track to outdo Team Canada.
A performance to forget for Canada at the Spengler Cup, then, as Therrien will only be out of retirement for three short games.
We'll see if Bergevin, who has become Jarmo Kekalainen's right-hand man in Buffalo, will be GM of Team Canadiens again next year.
Overtime
– The match between the Senators and Blue Jackets will start later tonight due to the weather.
The start time for tonight's game between the @BlueJacketsNHL and @Senators at Canadian Tire Centre has been delayed until 7:30 p.m. ET due to travel issues that prevented the Blue Jackets from arriving in Ottawa in time for the game's original start time (7 p.m. ET).
