After two wins in their first two games of the tournament against the Czech Republic and Latvia, Canada now faced Denmark, surely their easiest challenge so far.
It didn't take long for the Canadiens to take the lead. Gavin McKenna needed just nine seconds on the power play to score his first goal of the tournament.
Michael Hage picked up another assist on the sequence.

The other teams will have to be disciplined against Canada.
On the power play, the nation is too strong. With the help of a shot on goal, Porter Martone gave his team a three-goal lead.
This time it's Porter on the power play!

Before the end of the period, Gavin McKenna showed the extent of his talent by scoring with the help of a sharp shot.
He proves that he still deserves to be drafted first overall in the next draft.
