Now that the NHL holiday break is behind us, the Canadiens are getting ready to get back into action. The club flew to Florida today, and will face the Lightning tomorrow.
The match takes place at 5 p.m.
There was some speculation, however, as to who would be the starting goaltender for the occasion. With Samuel Montembeault back with the big club, Martin St-Louis had three options at his disposal.
And now the club has confirmed that Jacob Fowler will get the start.
The Florida native (remember: he's the first goalie in NHL history to be born in that state) will therefore get a start… in Florida.

Before the holiday break, Fowler was in fine form. He got a shutout against the Penguins, then was solid against the Bruins in the club's last game before Christmas.
This will be Fowler's third start in four games. He's really becoming Martin St-Louis's trusted goalie.
The question is, who will be his backup tomorrow? Interestingly, Martin St-Louis also took advantage of his press conference to talk about Montembeault.
And the coach is clear: the plan is to give Montembeault a game soon.
