Since the Bruins-the Canadiens game ended the day before yesterday, the guys are free for a few days. So they can celebrate Christmas as they please.

But of course, we all agree that some players don't have time to go home for the holidays. Let's just say that it's easier for a Québécois, for example, than for Ivan Demidov to eat at his parents' house for Christmas.

The break isn't that long.

That said, it's worth mentioning that Lane Hutson, even though he doesn't live on the other side of the world, didn't return to his neck of the woods after the December 23rd game.

Why do I say that? Because he was in Montreal yesterday.

We know this because images of Lane Hutson have been circulating. The Canadiens player was skating outside, on an outdoor rink, with fans of the club.

Incredible.

We know it's hard (impossible, actually) to keep this guy off the ice. That's the case during practice, and it's also the case on a day off.

No one would have blamed him for not skating on December 24… but hey.

It's also worth noting that, according to one person who was there, Hutson took the time to take photos with the youngsters on site after he'd finished skating.

What more could you ask for?

For the kids who were skating, seeing Hutson (who's barely taller than the kids, hehe) show up at the rink must have been sick. Especially on December 24.

And for the Habs, it's good publicity too. Yes, he could have hurt himself, but I'm sure everyone was careful. And yesterday, he proudly represented the Canadiens just hours after beating the Bruins with a three-assist performance.
