Earlier today, my colleague Charles-Alexis Brisebois reported in an article that Lane Hutson was at an outdoor rink yesterday to have some fun with fans.
That's when you see his priorities are in the right place. He'll never go for the big prize, although his talent could certainly allow him to do so.
We know that Hutson eats hockey, but we're starting to get to know Ivan Demidov a little better.
Well, the young Russian also took the opportunity to stretch his legs on December 25.
Demidov joined his teammate on an outdoor rink (a Bleu Blanc Bouge rink to be precise) to spend some time with fans in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce.

It's impossible to keep these two guys off the ice. They eat hockey and they thrive on it.
It's so cool to see the two young stars of the Montreal Canadiens spending time with kids and fans on Christmas Day. What a great gift.
As Anthony Marcotte mentions, they really have their priorities in the right place and will never play for money, but for pure passion.
These two young people have their values in the right place. Money will never be their priority. That's what we call playing your sport for the right reasons. Great to see!

Not only is it great to see them doing this on December 25, but it's even more encouraging for the Habs' future to see this passion in them.
It'll help them to have excellent careers, because even though they're overflowing with talent and already very successful, they'll always want to improve and fine-tune the little details. They could (very soon) be among the NHL's elite and possibly even become franchise players.
One thing's for sure: the future is (very) bright in Montreal with these two youngsters in the organization.

– It's official (even if we expected it). Michael Hage will represent Canada at the WJC. He was practicing with Gavin McKenna and Brady Martin this morning, and we should see them form a line-up tomorrow for the first game of the tournament.
Michael Hage has been named to Team Canada for the #WorldJunior 2026!
