In less than an hour, Phillip Danault will play his first game in a Habs uniform since the deal that brought him back to town. And for the occasion, it's a duel against the Bruins that awaits him.

It's hard to ask for more, hehe.

We know that Danault has struggled in Los Angeles this season, collecting just five points in 30 games without a single goal. But what's interesting is that, in an interview with Patrick Friolet(RDS), the forward seems to suggest that the change of system will help him offensively.

In fact, according to Danault, the Kings play a very defensive system, which is the complete opposite of the Habs. And that, in turn, obviously influences his offensive production.

Danault wants to keep things simple and get to the net: in his eyes, this is the key to finding his bearings.

Since the start of the campaign, the Habs have had no trouble scoring goals. Its average of 3.19 goals per game ranks eighth in the league (ironically, tied with the Bruins), so the club doesn't need Danault to fill the net.

What the Habs need is to allow fewer goals, as they're averaging 3.31 per game, the ninth-worst performance in the NHL this season. And that's where Danault feels he can help.

He's aware that the club's lack of experience is a factor in the many blown leads, and he feels he can help in that regard.

It will be interesting to see whether, as Danault suggests, the change of system will benefit him in terms of offensive production. But what is clear is that the Québécois seems to be (really) happy to be back home.

I'm looking forward to his game tonight, in any case. How about you?
