Ever since Marc-André Fleury retired, everyone has been talking about him as a guy who could return to the game. His name has never really stopped circulating.
He's been asked about it in the past, but now it's back in the news.
And why? Because Pierre LeBrun has stated that a few teams have called his agent to inquire about Flower's potential desire to return to an NHL where getting a goalie is a big challenge.
Probably not surprising, but hearing that some teams have checked in on Marc-Andre Fleury to see if there's any chance at all he would consider playing again. Again, not surprised teams with goalie needs would want to check on it.

It wouldn't be as bad as Philip Rivers returning to the game, right?
By the way, colleague Maxime Truman had more to say on the subject. He can confirm that Fleury loves hockey to the point where he's itching not to play.
The Oilers, who acquired Tristan Jarry and saw him injured, are clearly among the teams who have inquired about his intentions for the future.
Is the Canadiens in the mix? Flower with Fowler, that would be something. #Unlikely #InternalReinforcement
I can confirm that Marc-André Fleury has an itch not to play hockey (although I haven't discussed it with Allan Walsh).
Will he dare to come out of retirement (yet)?
The Oilers are clearly among the teams that have inquired about his intentions from what I hear. https://t.co/DbHTR7Hfsj

Careful: wanting to get back into the game and actually doing it are two different things. I too want to play in the NHL… but I understand that at this point, it's an unlikely scenario.
Fleury, who played an exhibition game with the Penguins recently, knows why he retired (a family man has to do what's best for his loved ones and his body) and returning to the game would be a very big decision.
I don't necessarily expect to see him play again, even though it took him a long time to stop playing. But you never know…
It's fair to say, though, that taking part in a recent alumni match has given him the itch again. After all, when a guy loves hockey as much as he does, it doesn't take much to get him going again.
It really doesn't.
Otherwise, interested teams can call Ryan Miller, who asked (jokingly) if NHL teams had any interest in his candidacy. #GoodJoke
Hearing anything for me @PierreVLeBrun? I think I'm still within the @PhilipRivers range of a comeback … https://t.co/KF3NrlMPlK

overtime
– Unbelievable.
Did not expect Matthew Schaefer to have more points (24) than Auston Matthews (23) at this point in the NHL season…
But here we are.
