Things aren't going well for the Leafs.
The club has lost five of its last six games and now finds itself at the very bottom of the Eastern standings. No, it's not a strike force.
And you'll understand that there's nobody satisfied in Toronto right now. Expectations were high before the start of the season, even though the club lost Mitch Marner… and now the organization is in turmoil.

Yesterday, Marc Savard was fired by the club.
He was acting as assistant coach behind the team's bench, and after the news of his dismissal, we all asked ourselves the same question: is Craig Berube next to go?
And what about Brad Treliving?
Well… According to Elliotte Friedman, the Leafs' head coach and GM have nothing to fear for their jobs right now. There's no exit plan for either guy – at least not yet – and the Leafs obviously still have faith in them.
Lots of questions after Toronto fired Marc Savard on Monday night, but, according to several sources, a similar fate does not await Craig Berube or Brad Treliving.https://t.co/ajBQO7Zemf

In a way, I'm surprised.
After all, when things get this bad for a team that wants to win, someone important often gets the axe. I'm not saying that Marc Savard wasn't important… but we agree that he's much less important than Berube or Treliving.
And I wonder if firing Savard is really going to help anything in Toronto, because it's not like he's the one really turning things around night after night.
But at some point, decisions will have to be made if the club continues to go badly on the ice. There has to be something: a major transaction, a change of coach or GM…
In any case. It's not going to happen tomorrow morning, from what we can understand right now… and it makes you wonder how it's all going to end up in Toronto.
