Jake Evans was unfortunately injured last night in the Montreal Canadiens' 4-0 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins.
He didn't finish the game, and the Habs announced afterwards that he wouldn't be making the trip to Pittsburgh for Sunday night's game.
With only 11 healthy forwards, the Habs didn't have much choice but to recall, unless they played with seven defensemen.
We might have expected Jared Davidson to return to Montreal, but it was Samuel Blais who was recalled by the Habs.
He'll play his first regular-season game in a Habs uniform tonight against the Penguins.

Remember that Blais was suspended for three games in the AHL, and hadn't played in the Rocket's last three games.
It was therefore easier and more logical for the Habs to recall him, given that he certainly didn't have to make the bus trip back from Cleveland last night.
What's more, this recall is legal even during the holiday trading freeze, because it's an emergency recall.
