Nick Suzuki is experiencing a disastrous sequence in the face-off circle.

His stats have been atrocious in his last seven games.

That's what Alexis Lavoie-Martel of the Sick Podcast demonstrated in the latest episode of the podcast.

Suzuki has won less than 50% of his face-offs in six of his last seven matches.

This is an aspect of the game that is currently hurting the Habs.

As Lavoie-Martel explains, Nick Suzuki has had an efficiency of just 38.3% in the face-off circle during this seven-game stretch.

Worse still, in the last game against the Penguins, Suzuki lost 19 of his 24 face-offs, giving him a low efficiency of 20.8%.

It's hard to understand, because things were going well for the captain in the first two months of the season in this respect.

Counting his October and November stats, Suzuki was winning 51.7% of his face-offs. By being above the 50% mark, he was giving his team an edge.

Worst of all, Suzuki is far from playing badly. He has collected six points in his poor sequence in the face-off circle over the last seven games.

The captain just needs to work on this aspect to give the Canadiens a better chance of winning games.

Overtime

– Good choice!

– Playing with the Canadiens gives him a lot of experience.

– Rasmus Dahlin is happy with the change of general manager.

– Brett Pesce back with the Devils soon.
