When you look at it, you'd think that it wasn't exactly old players scoring the goals. And that's exactly the case, when you take the time to analyze it all. Statistician Guillaume Villemaire lent himself to the game, and based on his research, he was able to conclude that 13 of the Habs' 15 goals (in addition to those of Mike Matheson and Alexandre Carrier) were scored by players under the age of 25. The club's 15 goals were scored, on average, by guys 24 years and 41 days old. #Wow

One notable player has yet to score, among the younger players: Nick Suzuki. By the way, the guy's been here since 2019 and has been captain since 2022: is he still a youngster? #RealQuestionBut anyway, all that to say that Suzuki leads the league, right now, in assists with six. He's tied with Mark Stone and Evgeni Malkin at the top.Have Team Canada executives seen this?

So even if the Canadiens' #14 hasn't found the back of the net yet (logically, it won't be long), he's still finding ways to make himself useful on the ice.

That's what's giving fans hope right now: the young guys are pulling the club up.Yes, something good is really being built in Montreal… even if everything isn't perfect and some guys will have to produce. #SlafWill the Habs collectively be able to build on their strong start to the season?
