Last night in the NHL, there were four games.We already know that the Leafs got the better of the Habs. Here are the results and highlights of the other games:

1. Leafs fans celebrate Jays victory at Scotiabank ArenaOf course, in Toronto, fans wanted a win for their team against the Canadiens. But the Torontonians on hand knew that there was another important game involving one of their teams: the Blue Jays. Toronto could eliminate the Yankees and move on to the Association Finals. That ‘s exactly what the Jays did, with a 5-2 victory. And at Scotiabank Arena, the fans celebrated.First, they celebrated when Nathan Lukes hit a single to give the Jays a three-run lead. And they also celebrated late in the game, when Jeff Hoffman got the save. Well done to the Leafs for presenting the game on the big screen.

2. Jack Roslovic will regret his decision to sign in EdmontonDuring the Oilers-Flames game, Elliotte Friedman had some news about Jack Roslovic: the Oilers and his camp had started negotiating. A few minutes later, the informant told us that Roslovic had finally signed. I guess he was convinced by Edmonton's two-goal first period and 2-0 lead.

At one point in the game, the Oilers even led 3-0. Leon Draisaitl tripled the lead with his 400th career goal.

Calgary never gave up.First, Matvei Gridin scored his first NHL goal.

And on the tying goal, Evan Bouchard and Stuart Skinner looked lost. Not for the first time.

3. Jack Eichel celebrates his new contract with four pointsYesterday, Jack Eichel signed a monster eight-year/13.5-million-dollar-a-year contract with the Golden Knights, which was celebrated on the same night against the Los Angeles Kings. The Kings may have beaten the Knights in a shootout (6-5), but the American collected one goal and three assists.

The chemistry with Mitch Marner looks… there.

But the man who stole the show from Eichel and Marner was Quinton Byfield. The man who shook hands with Wayne Gretzky before the game finished with a goal and an assist.

Marner finished his first game with his new team with two assists, but was stopped by Anton Forsberg in the shootout to give the Kings the win.

4. The Bruins get the better of the defending President's Cup championsIn Washington, the defending President's Cup champions, the Capitals, took on the Boston Bruins. We know it won't be Boston's best season despite the 3-1 win, and it started very badly.

Hamphus Lindholm almost scored in his own net.

David Pastrnak led the charge for Boston, picking up a point on all three of his goals. First, he scored the first goal of his season.

He then fed Elias Lindholm and Morgan Geekie for their first goals of the new campaign.

It's a first NHL win for new head coach Marco Sturm.
