Noah Dobson is fine: he should play Saturday against the Senators

Noah Dobson didn't take part in last night's game against the Senators in Quebec City. He skated in the morning with the guys who weren't going to play (Suzuki, Caufield, Slafkovsky, Blais, Guhle and Kahkonen) and looked relatively comfortable on the ice.

Reminder: Dobson was injured in the Habs' crushing 7-2 loss to the Leafs last week.

The good news in all this? Today, the defenseman is feeling “extremely” well and seems ready to make his return to action. According to Anthony Martineau's report on X, we should see #53 play on Saturday at the Bell Centre, when the Sens visit Montreal.

Let's hope Saturday's game doesn't resemble yesterday's. Several Senators players (hello, Nick Cousins) lost their minds and the result was rather… violent. And it even started to get dangerous at the end of the game because it looked like the Ottawa guys had only one goal in mind: to mess up the rink. Stützle had better sit tight if both Xhekaj are in uniform… hehe. That said, I wonder if Kaiden Guhle will be able to return to action on Saturday night. He was supposed to play last Thursday against the Leafs, but the Canadiens decided not to dress him because the defenseman had a groin injury. That would be nice… because with the season set to kick off in exactly one week's time in Toronto, it would be ideal for the Canadiens to have a full line-up on Saturday to test things out and see how the club fares with all the guys in the line-up. To be continued, then. But for now, it's interesting to know that the news about Dobson is good:

– Nice plateaus on the horizon for some NHL players.

– John Carlson wants to stay in Washington.
