Good news: according to Bluesky's Luc Gélinas, there's more fear than harm regarding Ivan Demidov. The Habs forward, who didn't finish yesterday's game against the Sens, isn't expected to miss any games. Ah, and he might even take part in tomorrow's practice in Quebec City. Elliotte Friedman said there was no reason to worry about Demidov in the long term, and Luc Gélinas' information confirms the Sportsnet tipster's statement.

So much the better, honestly. Nick Cousins had a field day taking an axe directly to Demidov's hands(the Sens player was fined) and on the footage, you can see how much pain the Russian was in. He was holding his hand and it looked really painful. But if he's able to make tomorrow's practice, as well as play Saturday against these same Senators, everyone in town – fans and the Habs organization alike – can breathe a sigh of relief.Losing Demidov, even in the short term, would have been a real shame…
Nick Cousins is such a piece of shit#gohabsgo#gosensgo

Note that the Canadiens players are taking advantage of their day off today to play golf at the Faune golf course in Quebec City (the staff too, but not in the same place) and one of our readers saw Demidov teeing off with intensity. That's good news too. Demidov may be better at hockey than golf… but at least he's not injured:
A @DLCoulisses reader is currently at the Faune golf course in Quebec City,
saw Ivan Demidov swinging with intensity a few minutes ago and is confident that Demidov is NOT injured. “He's not good at golf, but he's not injured.”

We really could have believed the worst about the Canadiens' forward, and to know that he's doing relatively well in spite of everything is really positive. Because we know: the Habs will need Demidov to be successful this season… And we saw it last night, as the Russian had quite a game against the Ottawa Senators even though he didn't finish the game.
