The last few years haven't been the easiest for Max Pacioretty. The forward has had to miss games due to (several) injuries, and this has affected his play on the ice too. When you look at his stats, you realize that he's slowed down since the 2021-2022 season… and you also see that he hasn't had the chance to play as much as he would have liked.89 games in three seasons isn't a lot:

Today, the former Habs captain seems ready to move on to the next chapter in his life.

Pacioretty is now working for the University of Michigan… and all signs point to him hanging up his skates for good. Reminder: Pacio played for the University of Michigan before starting his career in the National League, and he knows the place well. Interesting stuff:

If Pacioretty doesn't finish his career in Montreal, he'll be able to help Michael Hage, who's been a Habs fan since he was a kid and could really help the Habs for years to come.no joke ,if Max Pacioretty does decide to retire, he can look back on a brilliant career in the National League: 681 points (including 335 goals), 939 games played, a Bill Masterton Trophy, the opportunity to wear the “C” on his jersey for the Montreal Canadiens…The man who was recognized as one of the NHL's best snipers played for over 15 years in the world's best hockey league, and that's impressive too.Pacioretty helped the Leafs in the last playoffs with eight points (three goals) in eleven games, which explains why there was interest in his services this summer in the NHL…All good things must come to an end, as they say.
