Preparatory game: Sidney Crosby won’t be at the Bell Centre next week

Sidney Crosby's case refuses to die in Montreal, and in reality, I don't think it can really die while he's in Pittsburgh. Unless Kirby Dach suddenly becomes the player who was drafted third overall a few years ago. Even then…And any opportunity will do to tie Crosby to the Canadiens, as Renaud Lavoie discussed this morning with the man himself. And there's something interesting to note: Crosby won't be in Montreal next week (Monday) for the warm-up game between the Penguins and the Habs. The journalist confirmed this on the BPM Sports morning show, since Crosby told him he wouldn't be there when he was asked about it in Vegas earlier this month.

However, we'll take it from another angle. We're going to take it and ask ourselves whether the Penguins shouldn't ask the Penguins' captain to go and experience the atmosphere at the Bell Centre. Why do we say that? Because Renaud Lavoie wondered how much Kyle Dubas and Pat Brisson wanted to push Sidney Crosby to ask for a trade, so that it wouldn't come from management, but from him. You know as well as I do that Sidney Crosby, who loves the hockey atmosphere in Montreal, would be applauded EVERY TIME he touched the puck. It couldn't hurt, could it?

If the Penguins wanted to put pressure on the issue, Crosby would be in Montreal next Monday. But obviously, the Penguins want to let time do its work… It looks like this.
