Yesterday, we learned that the five players linked to the Junior Team Canada scandal (Michael McLeod, Carter Hart, Dillon Dube, Cal Foote and Alex Formenton) will be allowed to return to the National Hockey League. In fact, the guys will be able to sign as of October 15, but they'll be suspended until December, so as of December 1, we could legally see these five guys sign again for the team of their choice. At the moment, the five are not linked to any NHL team, but will they be? Obviously, the question arises, since many of these guys were not stars. After all, as Renaud Lavoie talked about this morning on BPM Sports, it doesn't mean that a club will want to sign such a player. Why sign an ordinary player who doesn't significantly improve your team if you're going to alienate a portion of your fans in the process? It's not worth it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qw12FMPAxjY
