Miracle for the Toronto Maple Leafs!
After taking a 3-0 lead in the series, but especially after dropping the next two, they finished the job tonight by beating the Ottawa Senators 4-2.

And it was none other than Max Pacioretty who settled the debate late in the 3rd period with a superb shot.

This is only the second series the Maple Leafs have won since 2004, the last coming in 2023 when they eliminated the Tampa Bay Lightning.
However, it's once again the Panthers who will be waiting for them in the second round. 2 years ago, the Panthers won the series in 5 games.
In the end, there will be some positive media coverage in Toronto, but it will be all downhill from here.
The Leafs had complete control of the game, but in true Leaf fashion, they squandered a 2-0 lead before finally prevailing.
Had the series had to travel to Toronto for a Game 7, I wouldn't have put much stock in Toronto, who still can't seem to find a way to win when it counts.
